THE DANCE THAT BLESSES

What is DANCE Worship? It is Movement with Expressions of the Emotions.
It involves:
Movement - our pouring out Action-Offerings
Expressions - our Physical Body (face, body, hands and
feet)
Emotions - Heart, feelings, passion
Looking at the Beauty of GOD’s Holiness, benefitting from
His Goodness and Everlasting Love, enjoying His Presence with the fullness of
His Light & Glory, how not to dance in fuller expression of our love and
worship to JESUS?
We are commanded to:
Psalm 100:3-5
Acknowledge that the LORD is God!
He made us, and
we are his.
We are his
people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates
with thanksgiving;
go into his
courts with praise.
Give thanks to
him and praise his name.
For the LORD is
good.
His unfailing
love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
Psalm 150
Praise ye the LORD.
Praise God in his
sanctuary:
praise him in the
firmament of his power.
Praise him for his
mighty acts:
praise him according to
his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the
sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the
psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the
timbrel and dance:
praise him with stringed
instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the
loud cymbals:
praise
him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let
every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Worship Him in the
beauty of His Holiness. One of the way
to bring forth beautiful worship expressions to GOD is in the form of
dance….Appropriate Dance. Dance
expressions can go beyond words in ‘beholding’ His beauty and holiness”. An outstretched hands is a simple form of
dance expression.
A slight movement and
swaying the body through the slight tapping of feet is
another simple form of
dance expression.
Praising and Worshipping
GOD through Appropriate Dance is an extremely delightful thing in
the eyes of GOD and people. It is a beautiful way to ravish our FATHER’s Heart. What is Appropriate Dance? It is a Dance that carries ‘consideration for
others beyond self’, seeking to please GOD and bless people. It should be the type of dance expressions
that does not draw attention to self but drawing people to GOD.
DANCE brings out a
deep, beautiful and VISUAL expression of praising and
worshipping God. Dance with Banners, flags, wings, streamers
and tambourine
- a perfect combination
to lavish and extol GOD’s Name and Significance in
high praises and to
seek Him in His Temple (Psalm 27:4).
Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this is what I
seek, tht I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze
upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple.
Such Dance brings about
GOD’s out-pouring blessing upon the worship services. Such dance can speak the heart and messages
of GOD. Such dance can release Editification to the body of Christ – the
church.
ANOINTED Dance releases
the ‘Breaker Anointing’ to liberate the spiritual
atmosphere for the
mighty flow of the Holy Spirit to bless, answer prayers,
heal people, land and
nations.
APPROPRIATE
Dance edifies and blesses the church and congregation.
There
are Different level of DANCES :
1) Personal
(worship-ministering to GOD and personal edification)
2) Dance
Team (Priestly Ministering to the LORD and the church, ministering between the
Worship Leader & musicians and the congregation)
3) Corporate
(Congregation Arise!)
4) National
(Higher spiritual realm – affecting the nation(s)
